Ligidi

The Ligidi Project covers a single permit located 125 km southeast of Ouagadougou and 50 km southeast of the Bomboré property, which is presently being explored by Orezone Resources Inc. Work by previous operators on Bomboré is reported to have shown a resource of over 1.0M oz of gold. On Ligidi, the company has delineated a 13 km long by 3 km wide gold-in-soils geochemical anomaly, which is open in at least one direction. Numerous higher grade zones occur within this anomaly, and are 1 to 2 km in length. RC drilling has confirmed the potential of one of these zones so far and the rest have yet to be tested.

A recent grid-based rock boulder sampling program on one area of the permit has defined several anomalous gold zones including one zone which is 1,000 m long and approximately 150 m wide where surface rock values averaged 2.33 g/t gold within a 1.0 g/t gold contour. This is a high priority target for further exploration.

The Ligidi permit covers 225 square km, and both Birimian greenstones and Tarkwaiian sediments have been identified on the property. The presence of Tarkwaiian rocks is closely linked to the very large gold deposits found in Ghana. Since 2005, Riverstone has completed soil geochemistry, limited ground geophysics, geological mapping and sampling, trenching and 871 metres of RC drilling. Results from these programs include:
