The Bissa East Project comprises four contiguous Exploration Permits, Tangapella, Sébila, Biliga and Malgtaba, which lie 100 km northeast of the capital city of Ouagadougou. The last two properties are wholly owned, while the first two are subject to option deals with a local partner. All of the properties were acquired in March of 2006. To date, the company has defined three gold zones on Tangapella and two on Biliga, which have been mapped, sampled and drilled, and another 28 gold anomalies await further work.
The Bissa East permits collectively cover an area of 984 square km, and were acquired to cover portions of the northeast trending Sabcé shear zone, plus several parallel shear zones to the north and south. The Sabcé shear zone hosts a large number of known gold deposits over a distance of approximately 130 km, the largest of which is the Bissa Hill deposit, held by High River Gold Mines. High River announced a 43-101 compliant mineral resource estimate for Bissa Hill of 81,980 Moz gold (measured), 580,270 Moz gold (indicated) and 679,470 Moz gold (inferred) in May of 2006. The Tangapella permit boundary is 6 km from the Bissa Hill deposit.
Since acquiring these properties, Riverstone has completed soil geochemistry, geological mapping and rock sampling on all four permits. A large number of artisanal gold mining sites have been mapped within the project area. More detailed work has been concentrated on the Tangapella and Biliga permits, which cover a 30 km strike length of the Sabcé shear zone.
This includes channel sampling, and a total of 6,785 metres of RAB (Rotary Air Blast) and 1,884 metres of RC (Reverse Circulation) drilling. The best intercepts from these programs are tabulated below:

The Bissa West Project covers three contiguous permits, Bissiga, Pella, and Bouboulou, located 100 km northwest of Ouagadougou. The first two permits are wholly owned, with Bouboulou subject to an option deal with a local Burkinabé company. The company has outlined 10 anomalous gold zones in close proximity to the Sabcé shear zone, most of which are marked by artisanal gold mining sites. The Bissa West Project has not been worked as much as some of the company's other properties, and many attractive targets remain to be fully evaluated.
These three permits are 548 square km in size, and were acquired to cover the southeastern portion of the Sabcé shear zone. Since March of 2006, Riverstone has completed regional soil geochemistry, some geological mapping and rock sampling, plus 5,600 m of RAB (Rotary Air Blast) drilling on Bissiga and Pella only. The drilling indicates the presence of broad zones of anomalous gold on the Bissiga and Pella permits. On the Bouboulou permit a previous operator outlined an extensive significant gold anomaly, 13 km long by 2 to 6 km wide, by RAB drilling. This gold anomaly straddles the northeast trending Sabcé shear. Rock sampling within this anomaly has returned gold grades from 1.09 to 19.16 g/t, with trench assays returning 0.51 g/t gold over 16 m including 2.38 g/t gold over 2 m.
